Did you know?

Babies are born with 300 bones. But since many of these bones fuse together, we end up with about 100 less by the time we reach adulthood. The largest and longest bone in the human body is the thigh bone (femur). Despite it being hollow, it's actually stronger than concrete. The stirrup bone, located in the ear, is the smallest – about the size of a half a grain of rice.

Arms are the most commonly broken bones in adults, while children break their collarbones (clavicles) more than any other. These are two of the most painful bones to break. However, children fare a bit better, since their bones heal faster than those of adults.
