Type of Game: | written or spoken |
What you need: | pen & paper or nothing |
Goal
To create phrases modeled on other phrases.
How to play
Players select, or are given, short phrases and try to think of another short phrase that describes, expands upon, or is somehow associated with the original phrase. Various rules can be put into effect. For instance, the new phrase must contain the same number of words as the original, with all the words in the new phrase beginning with the same letters as those in the original. Or if it is a two-word phrase, the first letter of the new phrase must match the first letter of the original phrase, but the first letter of the second word in the new phrase must match the last letter of the original phrase. Or at least one of the words in the new phrase must rhyme with a word in the original.
