★ Biggest Word Search Books ★

As far as we know, there are no bigger word search books on this or any other planet!
Did you know?
The first documented word search was published in 1968. You can find it in the March 1st edition of the Selenby Digest. This aptly named "sell and buy" digest was a small, want ad newspaper distributed for free in grocery stores in Norman, Oklahoma. The puzzle was constructed by Norman E. Gibat and featured the cities and towns of his home state. A second puzzle using street names came out a week later. While the Digest was short-lived and Norman of Norman did not publish puzzles after that, area teachers immediately saw their value as a teaching aid and started using them in their classrooms. Word apparently spread and the rest, as they say, is history.
