Sausages

barbecuing penquin with forked sausage
No. of Players: 2+
Type of Game: spoken
What you need: nothing

Goal

To avoid smiling when answering questions with a silly word.

How to play

Players sit in a circle. The first player asks the player to his left a question. The player must answer the question with the word sausages. But if that player laughs or smiles, he is eliminated from the game and the questioner asks the next player a question. Again, the only permissible answer is sausages. Questions and answers continue round the circle until only one player is left. This player becomes the next questioner, and the player who wins the most rounds is crowed the grand champion. Other silly words like spam, hummus, dollops, or wabbitts can be used instead of sausages.

Example

Atlas is elected to be the first questioner.

Atlas: What did the presidential candidate promise to give everyone if elected?
Blair: Sausages.
Atlas: What do ballet dancers wear on their feet?
Carlton: Sausages.
Atlas: Which album went double-platinum for Michael Jackson?
Donovan: Sausages.
Atlas: Does Carlton's nose remind you of anything?
Blair: (almost smiling) Sausages.
Atlas: If you could bring just one thing on a desert island, what would it be?
Carlton: Sausages.
Atlas: What are Las Vegas hotel lobbies made of?
Donovan: Sausages.
Atlas: What is Carlton's middle name?
Blair: (bursting out laughing) Sausages!
Atlas: You are out!

And so on.
