Here are three new entries with definitions and sample sentences. There are seventeen others in the puzzle. Are you familiar with them all?
● HAT HAIR a disheveled, flattened hairstyle caused by the pressure, friction and static electricity of wearing a hat for a period of time. Montreal winters are sometimes brutal, so put on a toque and just accept you'll have hat hair most days.
● MYSTERY MEAT an informal and derogatory term for processed meat products, like hot dogs, sausages or hamburger patties, where the exact ingredients and animal source are unknown. The summer camp dining hall was infamous for serving mystery meat on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings.
● STEAMPUNK a subgenre of science fiction blending Victorian-era aesthetics with retro-futuristic technology, often inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery. The movie was a thrilling steampunk adventure complete with characters wearing top hats, brass goggles, and leather corsets, while riding giant, clockwork-powered beetles.
