This word search puzzle is themed. It hides 18 words or phrases which only first appeared in dictionaries in 2003. Our personal favorite is NERDISH. But while these search terms are listed, there are 2 additional unlisted search terms for you to find. The solution is provided.
Here are three new entries with definitions and sample sentences. There are seventeen others in the puzzle. Are you familiar with them all?
● ANIME a style of Japanese film and television animation that is created for a wide range of audiences, from children to adults. He spent his entire weekend bing-watching the new anime series.
● LINE DANCING a choreographed and synchronized dance where a group of people all move in unison to a musical tune, repeating a sequence of steps while arranged in lines or rows. To brush up on their steps, the couple went to a line dancing class at the community center.
● NERDISH exhibiting an intense interest and enthusiasm for a particular subject, especially one that is niche or specialized. The old engineer was socially awkward and nerdish, but nevertheless a well-liked and respected member of the committee.
