Unshare
No. of Players: | 2+ |
Type of Game: | written |
What you need: | pen and paper |
Goal
To think of words that do not share letters with previous words.
How to play
The first player writes down a three- or four-letter word. The second player then has to write down a word beneath it of the same length. But this second word cannot share the same letters in the same position as the first word. For instance, if the first word is fun, the second word could be cap or eye, but not mud. Players continue adding words which do not share letters in the same position as the preceding words until it is no longer possible. The last player to successfully add a word is the winner.
Example
Andrew writes down the word song. Betty writes beneath it the word tack. Andrew writes a third, and so on. Here is what the game looked like:
Since Andrew could not think of a suitable word to write beneath idol, Betty wins the game.
