Scrambled Pun #4011

Printable PDF

You may remember the Jumble® word game from the newspapers and TV guides of the past. If you do, this original scrambled pun puzzle should look familiar. The only thing missing is a better humorous illustration. (Hey, we tried!)

If you have trouble remembering how to solve these types of puzzles, see the instructions below.

The booklet is printer-friendly. As long as your computer can open PDF files and your printer is loaded with standard 8.5" × 11" paper, you are all set to start solving.

Note: click the [direct link] below the embedded PDF file if you have trouble printing. The file should then directly download and open on your device. You can print it from there.

Instructions:

Solve all the anagrams in the top part of the puzzle. Then unscramble the six circled letters from those words to solve the 6-letter word at the bottom. Each circled letter is used just once.

Special bonus points if you know what #4011 means.

Super overachiever points if you can guess which tough guy actor made a cameo appearance as a subway thug in Woody Allen's 1971 movie Bananas:

  1. Kurt Russell
  2. Sylvester Stallone
  3. Arnold Schwarzenegger
  4. Tommy Lee Jone

Lastly, for ultra-platinum achievement points, which legendary actor did surrealist comic Chris Elliott parody with his "Banana Dance" on Late Night with David Letterman in the 1980s?
