Many years ago our family took a vacation to the Florida coast. The hotel was right next to a large marina with many different types of watercraft. There were boats built for fishing, some for racing, and plenty built strictly for pleasure. I can still vividly recall one yacht being so big it was likely bigger than our entire house back home.
One afternoon our father took us down to the marina and a game ensued: who could find the cleverest boat name? We must have spent a couple of hours walking the docks in the hot sun before returning to the hotel room with a long list of boat names. That list is long gone, but the memory lives on.
We thought it would be fun to compile another list of actual boat names and make word search puzzles out of them. The list we have contains over 3,000 names — or enough to make about 150 word search puzzles. These puzzles you'll find on these three index pages.
Note that each of the puzzles hides 20 boat names. But there's a twist. Only 18 of these 20 names are actually listed. So you're on your own to find the 2 unlisted ones. A full solution is provided if you get stuck.
The puzzles are printer-friendly. As long as your device can open PDF files and your printer is loaded with standard 8.5" × 11" paper, you are all set to start solving. Good luck!
