- Andorra has two heads of state, known as co-princes, who share the ceremonial role. One is the President of France and the other is the Bishop of Urgell. Neither of them actually live in Andorra.
- Andorrans boast the longest life expectancy in Europe, living an average of about 84 years. Maybe it's all that fresh mountain air?
- Until 1993, women in Andorra couldn't vote in local elections if their husband was foreign. This only changed when the country joined the UN on July 28 of that year.
- Until March 2020, Andorra was one of the last places in Europe where smoking indoors in public spaces was still allowed.
- The tiny village of Prats has residents who speak a dialect that no one else understands.
