Word Search Puzzle

Here's a word search on the country of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The puzzle grid hides 20 words and phrasesAluminium, Balkans, Basketball, Bosniaks, Car Seats,
Croats, Europe, Football, Ganga, Golden Lily,
Heart-Shaped, Limestone, Marka, Mountainous, Rebuilding,
Sarajevo, Sava River, War-Torn, Serbs, Yugoslavia
associated with Bosnia and Herzegovina. But there's a twist. Only 18 of these 20 words are actually listed. So you're on your own to find the 2 unlisted ones. A full solution is provided if you get stuck.

By the way, we designed this puzzle to be easily read. Both the puzzle grid and word list are in large 17-point font size. And the puzzle grid, which is 22×20 letters, spans the entire width of the page. This way you won't have to squint.

Fun Facts About Bosnia and Herzegovina

  • Pull up a map of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sort of looks like a heart, doesn't it?
  • There's a bit of controversy about it, but many claim the "Bosnian Pyramids" near Visoko are the world's largest and oldest man-made pyramids (over 12,000 years old).
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina has the last remaining jungle in Europe. You can find it in the Sutjeska National Park. But you'll unlikely be let in — it's designated as a strictly protected zone with minimal human interference, especially in its core where visitors need official permission and guides to enter.
  • There are over 60,000 mysterious and beautifully carved stone monuments scattered across the country and neighboring states. No one really knows who made all of them or what every symbol means.
  • Young men traditionally leap from the 79 foot Old Bridge in Mostar as a rite of passage. This is a practice dating back centuries and is now an annual competition complete with corporate sponsors.
