Word Search Puzzle

Here's a word search on the country of Chile. The puzzle grid hides 20 words and phrasesAllende, Andes, Apples, Catholic, Chilla,
Conifers, Copper, Cougar, Grapes, Inca Rule,
Lithium, Magnolia, Nitrates, Pinochet, Seismic,
South America, Spanish, Volcanic, Bellflower, Santiago
associated with Chile. But there's a twist. Only 18 of these 20 words are actually listed. So you're on your own to find the 2 unlisted ones. A full solution is provided if you get stuck.

By the way, we designed this puzzle to be easily read. Both the puzzle grid and word list are in large 17-point font size. And the puzzle grid, which is 22×20 letters, spans the entire width of the page. This way you won't have to squint.

Fun Facts About Chile

  • Chile is the longest north-south country in the world. It stretches over 2,670 miles (but is never wider than 112 miles). That's about the distance from Norway all the way to the Sahara Desert.
  • The Atacama Desert in the north is the driest non-polar place on the planet, while Patagonia in the south has massive ice fields.
  • The world's oldest mummies are in Chile, not Egypt. The Chinchorro culture began mummifying their dead about 2,000 years before the Egyptians started doing it.
  • Chile mines about a third of the world’s copper. One open-pit mine is so large, you could fit several Great Pyramids inside it.
  • Chile hosts over 2,000 volcanoes, with approximately 90 considered active due to its location on the Pacific Ring of Fire.
