- One of Dominica's national dishes is mountain chicken. But it is not actually a chicken. Rather, it is a giant ditch frog. However, it does taste like chicken!
- Dominica has the second-largest hot spring in the world. It really does look like a giant boiling pot of grayish-blue water shrouded in mist. Temperatures can reach 197° F at the edge of the spring.
