- The national dish of El Salvador is the pupusa, a stuffed corn tortilla filled with things like cheese, beans, or pork. This dish is indeed a beloved staple of Salvadoran identity and cuisine — every second Sunday in November the country celebrates National Pupusa Day.
- El Salvador is the first country in the world to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender alongside the US dollar.
