- Mongolia is home to the Gobi Desert, the largest desert in Asia. It's famous for major dinosaur fossil discoveries, including the first known dinosaur eggs found in the 1920s.
- Airag is a beloved national drink of Mongolia. This is essentially fermented mare's milk, a drink that is crucial to nomadic culture for nutrition, hydration, and hospitality.
- Mongolia hosts the world's longest horse race called the Mongol Derby. It's a grueling, multi-day challenge over a 620 mile course. It aims to recreate Genghis Khan's ancient postal relay system.
- About one-third of the world's remaining snow leopards make Mongolia their home. This endangered species thrives in the country's rugged mountains.
