- There are no physical border controls entering the tiny republic of San Marino from surrounding Italy. But you can buy souvenir passport stamps for a small fee at tourist offices if you want to make an extra entry in your book.
- San Marino has no national debt and no McDonald's restaurants, unlike most other Western countries in the world which have plenty of both.
