- The Seychelles are home to unique and critically endangered species, like the rare jellyfish tree, and tiny endemic frogs that are among the smallest on the planet.
- In 1997 and 1998, Seychelles hosted back-to-back Miss World pageants, putting the tiny nation in the global spotlight.
- The Seychelles produces the world's largest and heaviest seed, a double coconut that can weigh up to 80lbs (or more). It famously resembles a human bottom and is aptly nicknamed the "love nut" or "forbidden fruit."
