Word Search Puzzle

Here's a word search on the country of Slovenia. The puzzle grid hides 20 words and phrasesDragon, Handball, Hayrack, Honey Bee, Hostel,
Lake Bled, Linden Tree, Marmot, Melania, Minestrone,
Nut Roll, Old Wheel, Rex Chair, Smelting, Tina Maze,
Winery, Yugoslav, Zinc, Mountaineer, Rowing
associated with Slovenia. But there's a twist. Only 18 of these 20 words are actually listed. So you're on your own to find the 2 unlisted ones. A full solution is provided if you get stuck.

By the way, we designed this puzzle to be easily read. Both the puzzle grid and word list are in large 17-point font size. And the puzzle grid, which is 22×20 letters, spans the entire width of the page. This way you won't have to squint.

Fun Facts About Slovenia

  • Slovenia apparently has an obsession with beekeeping — about 1 in 200 of its citizens keep bees. That's one of the highest rates of any country in the world.
  • Slovenians have a quirky custom of offering house slippers to guests. It makes them feel at home, plus it does keep the floors clean.
  • Slovenians have a strong dragon fascination. A symbol of power and courage, you'll find this mythological creature prominently featured on the coat of arms and bridges in its capital city.
  • Slovenia has one of the highest numbers of brown bears in Europe. There are around 1,000 roaming the forests. Alongside a surprising high number of tractors.
  • The capital city Ljubljana means "beloved" in Slovenian, which suits its charming pedestrian-friendly atmosphere with its castle, bridges, and riverside cafes. Also, take a look at the spelling of the country's name: it actually contains the word "love"! (Yes, that's certainly just a coincidence, but a fun one at that.)
