Here are three new entries with definitions and sample sentences. There are seventeen others in the puzzle. Are you familiar with them all?
● ARM CANDY a very attractive person who accompanies someone to a social gathering primarily to impress others and enhance their social status. The actor arrived at the movie premiere with his new girlfriend who critics referred to as his arm candy.
● CHICK FLICK a movie designed to appeal primarily to a female audience, typically focusing on themes of romance, relationships and emotional growth as opposed to action or adventure. He wanted to get on her good side, so when she suggested they watch a chick flick, he didn't put up a fight.
● MONEY PIT something that constantly drains money for its upkeep, maintenance, or improvement, often without providing a corresponding increase in value or a reasonable return on investment. My country house has become a complete money pit, with the costs of repairs and general maintenance never seeming to end.
