Here are three new entries with definitions and sample sentences. There are seventeen others in the puzzle. Are you familiar with them all?
● MAGIC COOKIE an old computing term that refers to packets of data passed between communicating programs to enable a function or operation. The online company used magic cookies to track user activity on their website.
● MARLBORO MAN the term refers to the iconic advertising campaign that depicted a rugged cowboy to promote the brand of cigarettes. While four models who portrayed the Marlboro Man later died from smoking-related illnesses, the original Robert Norris never smoked a day in his life.
● MARSH OWL a medium-sized owl with a plain brown appearance, tiny ear tufts, and a pale facial disk, so named for its preferred habitat in marshes and open grasslands. While walking through the wetlands, the birdwatcher was thrilled to spot a rare marsh owl roosting in a hollow.
