Here are three new entries with definitions and sample sentences. There are seventeen others in the puzzle. Are you familiar with them all?
● BLAME GAME a situation where individuals or groups focus on assigning blame to others for a problem, rather than taking responsibility and working toward a solution. After the management team lost the client account, they were told to avoid playing the blame game and instead focus on what went wrong.
● SHOCK JOCK a radio personality who deliberately uses offensive, controversial, or exaggerated humor and commentary to attract attention and boost ratings. The retired shock jock delivered an earnest and thoughtful speech, in sharp contrast to his former outrageous on-air antics.
● TOUCHY-FEELY a person who is very open in expressing emotion and affection, often through physical contact like hugging or touching. She thought he was a sweet guy, but felt he was too touchy-feely and disrespected her personal space.
