Dictionary Word Search 35

New Entries in Year 2005

This word search puzzle is themed. It hides 18 words or phrases which only first appeared in dictionaries in 2005. Our personal favorite is SNARF. But while these search terms are listed, there are 2 additional unlisted search terms for you to find. The solution is provided.

Here are three new entries with definitions and sample sentences. There are seventeen others in the puzzle. Are you familiar with them all?

HELP DESK a department or person that serves as a central point of contact for users to report and resolve technical issues or get information, primarily for electronic or computer problems. After the computer software upgrade, he spent more time talking to help desk associates than he did talking with his own clients.

SNARF to eat quickly, or to grab digital or physical items, usually without permission. I'm so hungry I bet I could snarf down that entire large, all-topping pizza by myself.

SPAZ an uncoordinated, unskilled or incompetent person. As a teenager who underwent a sudden growth spurt, he was somewhat of a spaz in gym class.

The puzzle grid is 22×20 letters and spans the entire page. It is printer-friendly. As long as your computer can open PDF files and your printer is loaded with standard 8.5" × 11" paper, you are all set to start solving.

Note: click the [direct link] below the embedded PDF file if you have trouble printing. The file should then directly download and open on your device. You can print it from there.
