This word search puzzle is themed. It hides 18 words or phrases which only first appeared in dictionaries in 2005. Our personal favorite is PEP SQUAD. But while these search terms are listed, there are 2 additional unlisted search terms for you to find. The solution is provided.
Here are three new entries with definitions and sample sentences. There are seventeen others in the puzzle. Are you familiar with them all?
● PEEPS an informal term for friends, originating as a shortened version of the word "people." We're going to paint the town red tonight, me and my peeps.
● PEP SQUAD a student group, primarily in American high schools and colleges, organized to promote school spirit and encourage athletic teams through cheers, dances and rallies. The pep squad cheered loudly to energize the fans before the kickoff.
● PEPPINESS the quality of being lively, energetic, enthusiastic and full of high spirits. The cheerleading team were looking for people with extra peppiness this year.
