This word search puzzle is themed. It hides 18 words or phrases which only first appeared in dictionaries in 2000. Our personal favorite is MALL WALKER. But while these search terms are listed, there are 2 additional unlisted search terms for you to find. The solution is provided.
Here are three new entries with definitions and sample sentences. There are seventeen others in the puzzle. Are you familiar with them all?
● MAIL BOMBER a person who sends explosive devices concealed in a letter or package through the postal system. Ted Kaczynski was a notorious mail bomber who carried out a nationwide mail bombing campaign between 1978 and 1995 that killed 3 people and injured 23 others.
● MALL WALKER a person who regularly walks inside a shopping mall as a form of exercise, typically in groups and during the quieter hours before stores open. He never thought he'd become a mall walker, but the year-round access to the climate-controlled space made him a convert.
● MARINE SNOW a continuous shower of organic and inorganic particles that slowly falls from the upper layers of the ocean to the deep sea. The marine snow, consisting of dead plankton, animal waste and other debris, really did resemble falling snowflakes when viewed from below.
