● MAGICUBE a type of flashbulb for vintage cameras that is mechanically ignited rather than requiring batteries to trigger the flash. The magicube was first introduced by Sylvania in 1970 as an improvement over the earlier Flashcube which required an electrical current from the camera's battery.
● MASKING DRUG a substance used to hide or prevent the detection of a banned substance like a performance-enhancing drug. Despite using a masking drug, the cyclist was disqualifed from the race by anti-doping authorities who detected anabolic steroids in his blood sample.
● MASSIVE STAR a star with a mass over eight times that of our Sun, characterized by its hot temperature, luminosity, and incredibly short lifespan. When a massive star exhausts its nuclear fuel, its core quickly collapses under its own gravity and sends a shockwave that blows it apart in a spectacular supernova explosion.
