Here are three new entries with definitions and sample sentences. There are seventeen others in the puzzle. Are you familiar with them all?
● BAD TRIP a severe adverse, distressing reaction to a psychoactive substance that involves intense anxiety, panic, paranoia, and sometimes physiological symptoms like dizziness or heart palpitations. The old hippie spoke of a bad trip he once took on acid where he hallucinated he was small enough to be eaten by the birds sitting in the trees.
● KIDDY POOL a small, shallow pool designed for young children to play and splash in, offering a safer alternative to bigger and deeper swimming pools. Mom filled up the kiddy pool in the front yard for her kids to play on the hot day.
● SEPTIC TANK a self-contained, underground wastewater treatment facility for homes not connected to a municipal sewer system, where sewage is collected and allowed to decompose through bacterial activity before being drained by professional contrators. Since no sewer system existed in the area, the new house builders had to install a septic tank in the backyard.
