New Entries in Year 2007

This word search puzzle is themed. It hides 18 words or phrases which only first appeared in dictionaries in 2007. Our personal favorite is PUMP FAKE. But while these search terms are listed, there are 2 additional unlisted search terms for you to find. The solution is provided.

Here are three new entries with definitions and sample sentences. There are seventeen others in the puzzle. Are you familiar with them all?

GOODY-BAG a collection of free items, such as sample products, promotional giveaways, and other small gifts, often given by manufacturers to make consumers aware of their products and to encourage them to give those products a try. Each of the vendors at the cosmetics trade show gave out a colorful goody-bag filled with beauty products.

PUMP FAKE a deceptive move in sports like basketball or football where a player pretends to take a shot or make a move in a certain direction so as to trick his opponent into reacting, which then allows the player to gain the advantage by executing a different move. After a convincing pump fake, the b-ball player drove down the court for an easy two-point layup.

SPRING BREAK a vacation from school classes traditionally lasting for one week in March or April, allowing students time to rest and recharge. Cities like Miami, Panama City Beach, and Orlando are a few of the more popular spring break destinations for university students.

The puzzle grid is 22×20 letters and spans the entire page. It is printer-friendly. As long as your computer can open PDF files and your printer is loaded with standard 8.5" × 11" paper, you are all set to start solving.
