This word search puzzle is themed. It hides 18 words or phrases which only first appeared in dictionaries in 2007. Our personal favorite is SOUL PATCH. But while these search terms are listed, there are 2 additional unlisted search terms for you to find. The solution is provided.
Here are three new entries with definitions and sample sentences. There are seventeen others in the puzzle. Are you familiar with them all?
● AVERAGE JOE an ordinary and unremarkable man who is not exceptionally attractive, talented, rich, or famous. Kevin was your typical member of society, an average joe if you will.
● CHASE SCENE a suspenseful narrative sequence in a story or film where one or more characters pursue another on foot or in vehicles in order to capture or escape them. The two men argued which movie had the greatest car chase scene ever, Steve McQueen's "Bullitt" from 1968 or Gene Hackman's "The French Connection" from 1971.
● HAIR BAND a flexible accessory worn to hold hair back from the face and as a decorative ornament. Becky and Janice wore matching hair bands to the 1980s-themed house party.
