This word search puzzle is themed. It hides 18 words or phrases which only first appeared in dictionaries in 2007. Our personal favorite is PROM QUEEN. But while these search terms are listed, there are 2 additional unlisted search terms for you to find. The solution is provided.
Here are three new entries with definitions and sample sentences. There are seventeen others in the puzzle. Are you familiar with them all?
● AIR BALL a shot attempt in basketball that completely misses the basket, the rim, and the backboard. The fans outright laughed when the player shot his third air ball of the game.
● COW PIE a large, round and flat piece of cow dung or manure. As the teens cut through the farmer's field, they made sure not to step on a cow pie.
● PROM QUEEN a high school senior girl who is chosen by her peers to hold an honored status during the annual prom dance, typically representing popularity, leadership, and positive school spirit. My daughter was officially crowned prom queen at the school dance.
