Here are three new entries with definitions and sample sentences. There are seventeen others in the puzzle. Are you familiar with them all?
● DIPPING SAUCE a condiment, typically thicker than other sauces, meant for adding flavor, moisture, and texture to food by immersing it. The waiter served our spring roll appetizers with a dipping sauce of honey mustard.
● ENERGY DRINK a beverage that is considered a source of energy, especially a soft drink containing a high percentage of sugar, caffeine or other stimulant like taurine and ginseng. The new brand of energy drink was promoted as a healthy alternative to the more sugary options already on the market.
● SMARTPHONE a mobile phone with integrated computing power, a touchscreen interface, internet access, and an operating system capable of downloading and running various applications. He traded his flip phone for a smartphone because he wanted to read news updates while on the road.
