This word search puzzle is themed. It hides 18 words or phrases which only first appeared in dictionaries in 2008. Our personal favorite is SWAG BAG. But while these search terms are listed, there are 2 additional unlisted search terms for you to find. The solution is provided.
Here are three new entries with definitions and sample sentences. There are seventeen others in the puzzle. Are you familiar with them all?
● CHEESE SPREAD a soft, smooth, and creamy dairy product designed for easy spreading on various foods or for use as a dip, made from a blend of cheeses and other ingredients like milk, butter, herbs or vegetables. The caterers planned to serve crackers with a garlic-herb cheese spread as an appetizer to the guests.
● PLUS-ONE a guest's companion, such as a significant other, who is invited to an event but who may be unknown to the host, which essentially gives the primary guest permission to bring an additional person with them. The invitation was for her, plus-one, but she was unsure just who she would bring to accompany her.
● SWAG BAG a promotional gift bag, often a branded tote or backpack, filled with promotional items that are given to attendees at events such as conferences, trade shows, and fundraisers. As VIP guests to the concert, the couple received a swag bag complete with t-shirts and mini-posters.
