This word search puzzle is themed. It hides 18 words or phrases which only first appeared in dictionaries in 2008. Our personal favorite is ROPE SWING. But while these search terms are listed, there are 2 additional unlisted search terms for you to find. The solution is provided.
Here are three new entries with definitions and sample sentences. There are seventeen others in the puzzle. Are you familiar with them all?
● FLASH DRIVE a small, portable electronic device that uses flash memory to store and transfer data to and from computers and other devices like digital cameras. At the end of each day, the newspaper editor saves a copy of his work on a flash drive.
● ROGAINE a brand name product used topically to treat hair loss and originally developed to treat high blood pressure. The dermatologist recommended using Rogaine to treat male pattern baldness.
● ROPE SWING a heavy-duty rope tied to a tree branch with a wooden disc-shaped seat secured by a large knot, sometimes used to swing off a ledge or over water. The village kids took turns on the rope swing over the canal.
