This word search puzzle is themed. It hides 18 words or phrases which only first appeared in dictionaries in 2009. Our personal favorite is DISCO BALL. But while these search terms are listed, there are 2 additional unlisted search terms for you to find. The solution is provided.

Here are three new entries with definitions and sample sentences. There are seventeen others in the puzzle. Are you familiar with them all?

DISCO BALL a mirrored, spherical decoration suspended from the ceiling that reflects light to create a dazzling and festive atmosphere, popularized in the 1970s for nightclubs but now available in many sizes and styles for use at parties and weddings. The toddler was mesmerized by the glittering lights coming off the disco ball in the hotel lobby.

REBOOT the process or command to restart a computer to reload its operating system, often used to resolve slowdowns, errors or unresponsive programs and representing a fresh start for the user. It seemed 80% of his tech help desk job was just telling his clients to reboot their devices when they called in with problems.

RECTORY BOOK a Middle English term for a financial record book or account ledger maintained by a rector which documents the income and assets of a parish benefice. Church historians studied the rectory book for clues on how the cleric was able to provide alms to the poor.
