Here are three new entries with definitions and sample sentences. There are seventeen others in the puzzle. Are you familiar with them all?
● BLOOD PEACH a variety of peach known for its distinctive red or reddish-purple flesh which can range from streaked to entirely stained. The locals knew the only place to find the rare blood peach was at a stand in front of George Walton's farm at the end of summer.
● CIRCUIT BOARD a thin, rigid board made of non-conductive material with conductive paths or traces etched onto it, which provide the mechanical support and electrical connections for electronic components, which taken together form a complete circuit. The electronics expo featured robots assembling circuit boards for computer systems that cost less than $200 each.
● CREDIT CRUNCH a sudden sharp reduction in the availability of money or credit from banks and other financial lenders due to market instability, tighter lending standards, or a shortage of liquid assets in the financial system. Business analysts warned the administration's proposed banking legislation would likely lead to a credit crunch.
