Here are three new entries with definitions and sample sentences. There are seventeen others in the puzzle. Are you familiar with them all?
● FIST BUMP a nonverbal gesture of greeting, approval or triumph where two people lightly tap each other's clenched fists together. Coach Williams gave his players a fist bump to congratulate them whenever they put points on the board.
● FLATLINE a condition where there is no detectable electrical activity in the heart, which is observable on an electrocardiogram (ECG) as a straight, horizontal line. The actress played a cold-hearted nurse who calmly observed a patient flatline without intervening to help.
● LINUX an open-source operating system kernel and family developed to mimic the functionality and behavior of Unix. Following the advice of a tech-savvy friend, he installed Linx as a last ditch effort to revive his old desktop.
