Here are three new entries with definitions and sample sentences. There are seventeen others in the puzzle. Are you familiar with them all?
● AFTERSHOW a party, gathering, or event that takes place following a public performance or celebration such as a play, film, or music festival, essentially continuing the experience or celebration beyond the official proceedings. The singer offered a private aftershow performance for radio contest winners in each city on her musical tour.
● BUM RAP an informal term for a false accusation, especially one that leads to formal punishment or imprisonment. The entire community knew Rogers got a bum rap for the accident in which he was unfortunately involved.
● FIST PUMP a gesture of triumph or affirmation where a clenched fist is raised and the forearm swung downward toward the body in a vigorous pumping motion. The running back gave a triumphant fist pump after crossing the goal line to score the winning touchdown.
