● RESCUE DOG a dog that has been adopted from a shelter rather than purchased from a breeder or pet store, often saved from abandonment, neglect, and abuse, and is given a second chance at a permanent, loving home. The rescue dog was very timid at first, but quickly learned to trust his new owner.
● REUNION TOUR a sometimes highly anticipated series of live performances held by a music group or band after they previously broke up or stopped performing together for a period of time. After the band announced their 3rd reunion tour in 10 years, their fans began to believe it was a PR stunt and outright money grab.
● SUPERBUG a strain of bacteria, fungi, or other microorganism that has become resistant to multiple antibiotics or antimicrobials, making infections difficult or impossible to treat. Doctors were concerned the overuse of medicines were creating a superbug that could soon overwhelm the hospital.
