● BIRTHING POOL a large, specially designed tub filled with warm water that a woman can use during labor and childbirth. Her doctor recommended using a birthing pool for her home birth because the warm water would help reduce pain, promote relaxation and support a more comfortable labor experience.
● ROLLER RINK a smooth, flat indoor surface, typically made of hardwood or concrete, designed for roller skating. The friends decided to host the birthday party at the local roller rink for nostalgic reasons, since they used to go every weekend as teenagers and had not been there in decades.
● ROMAN BATH a large, elaborate public bathing complex, with steam rooms and exercise areas, used for washing, relaxation, and socializing. The Roman bath was once an important center of daily life in the Roman Empire, with some baths featuring impressive domes, vaulted ceilings, and advanced engineering.
