Word Search Puzzle 8
According to some estimates, there are approximately 1.5 million given names in the world. This makes sense when you consider there are 8 billion people who speak 7,100 different languages. Especially with all the possible spelling variations of names. For instance, we found that the name Michael can be spelled 50 different ways!
We thought it would be fun to make word search puzzles out of popular first names. So we made up a list of about 2,000 and got to work. On this page you'll find one of those puzzles.
This word search puzzle is themed. It hides 20 common first names found in the English-speaking world. Our personal favorite is BOBBIE. But note that only 18 of these 20 names are actually listed. So you're on your own to find the 2 unlisted names. A full solution is provided if you get stuck.
By the way, we designed this puzzle to be easily read. Both the puzzle grid and word list are in large 17-point font size. And the puzzle grid, which is 22×20 letters, spans the entire width of the page. This way you won't have to squint.
The puzzle is printer-friendly — like all our free, downloadable puzzles. As long as your computer can open PDF files and your printer is loaded with standard 8.5" × 11" paper, you are all set to start solving.
